Rose Talbert Established in 1919 by Bill Rose with financial backing from the Talbert family, thereby creating the first Rose Talbert paint store in Columbia, South Carolina. In the early 1900's, Rose Talbert served as a retail outlet for various paint manufacturers in the distribution and sale of their products—selling to paint contractors and consumers throughout the area. Experiencing an expansion in its customer base as well as geographical boundaries, the demand for products and related services increased significantly—creating a defined challenge and opportunity for growth and diversification. In 1936, Rose Talbert began manufacturing operations and the rest is history. Throughout the mid-1900's, Rose Talbert continued to expand its market base and gained recognition and credibility as a producer of quality, premium paints. In 1973, the Walker family, headed by Robert Walker, Jr., purchased Rose Talbert Paints and incorporated the company at that time. Within a year, they moved all manufacturing and warehousing operations to a new and larger location to accommodate the growth that was to follow. Over the years, Rose Talbert Paints has grown through the creation and sale of quality, premium products and an expansive line of "private label" business—available through a network of Rose Talbert Paint retail outlets. Now in his 80's, Robert Walker, Jr. still maintains a frequent presence at the facilities. However, the day-to-day operations and overall management is in the hands of Bob Walker III, Pope Walker, and Felix Walker. Rose Talbert Paints is known and respected internationally for its premium proprietary paints and coatings for both residential and commercial use. Being a major supplier for the state of South Carolina over the past two decades, they have also participated in federal contracts as well as product sales in other countries—more specifically, the Far East. Their on-going commitment to research and development to enhance current products and create new and better products has been—and is—multi-generational. Rose Talbert Paints was selected by Home Preservation Systems to develop and produce the proprietary formula specifically know as the Extreme Performance Permanent Coating—and stands together with Home Preservation Systems behind the Limited Lifetime Warranty issued to homeowners and commercial entities.
